About the name

“Scipio” is a name of Lucius Cornelius Scipio Barbatus who was a censor in Ancient Rome. One of the jobs of a censor (and historically a primary one) was to collect and maintain a registry of citizens or as we can say today – user accounts. Which is exactly the job of Scipio in a Django project: to maintain accounts of users introduced with their OpenIDs.
