I'm developing a shopping list app. Among other things, it can guess categories for various grocery items (such as "Produce", "Dairy", etc.) I couldn't find any source of such data online, so I'm building it myself. This little online app, Shoppy, is here to crowd-source and verify that data. Eventually I'll publish it on Kaggle or something. The initial dataset comes from my own grocery shopping history.
It's worth mentioning that this is not an LLM, nor any other kind of AI, for that matter. Just a very small mapping from product names to categories with a simple algorithm to make it more resilient. I update the data every once in a while, based on the rate of feedback.
